There are moments that don’t feel planned — they simply arrive, as if they were always meant to happen. August at Casa Nizza D’Oro carried that feeling. It was Ferragosto, when Italy slows, breathes deeper, and turns its attention to life’s simplest pleasures: food, wine, and time shared together. And somehow, it felt like the only moment our first gathering could ever belong to.
That evening, Casa Nizza D’Oro filled with guests from different parts of the world. It was a small, warm gathering — friends and newcomers, each bringing their own stories and energy. Conversations flowed between languages, glasses met in spontaneous toasts, and strangers in the beginning quickly felt like old friends.
We came together not only to celebrate, but to experience Piedmont through what matters most — its food, its wine, and its people. The tables felt alive, in the middle of the vineyards, looking at the stars.
The winemakers were not just hosts — they were part of the evening. As they poured, they shared stories: of difficult harvests, of morning fog over the hills, of vines passed down through generations. Their hands spoke as much as their words.
Live music, good win – shoes came off, sleeves rolled up, and the evening became more relaxed with every moment.
Casa Nizza D’Oro revealed itself slowly that night.
The villa, once a winemaker’s home, seemed to recognize the occasion. Its walls held the coolness of history, while outside everything pulsed with summer. The scent of earth, grapes, and distant herbs blended into something unmistakably real — something that cannot be staged.
It wasn’t just a setting. It was part of the experience.

That first evening did not feel like an opening. It felt like a beginning already in motion.
Casa Nizza D’Oro now welcomes gatherings that are not only events, but shared moments — shaped by people, by place, and by the quiet magic of Piedmont.
Whether it’s a long, slow dinner with a private chef, an intimate wine tasting guided by those who made the wine, or a celebration that stretches late into the night, each occasion is allowed to unfold naturally.
And perhaps that is why that August evening — held in the quiet spirit of Ferragosto, among wine, voices, and warm summer air — did not simply pass. It stayed.
We are looking forward for our next private wine event.
